For competitive soccer players ages 13-16. Help your son build the character to thrive.
Your son isn’t a template. So his development shouldn’t be either. Training is structured through a monthly agreement, including two in-person sessions and one virtual check-in each week, all tailored to his mental, emotional, and physical development.
Some days he will need to be challenged. Other days he will need more repetition. The answer is not always to push harder. Rest and recovery are important too. The goal is to naturally get him to the point where he feels confident enough to express his talent freely under pressure.
So progress isn’t just measured by speed, goals, or statistics. It’s measured by the person he is becoming. Empowered and Focused in big moments.
Your son doesn’t need more drills. He needs to understand what happens inside him when pressure hits.
A mistake.
A bad call.
A tough coach.
A difficult teammate.
A missed opportunity.
In those moments, he can react, or he can learn to respond. That’s the SHIFT.
The Perspective 5hift™ Method is a practical framework designed to build awareness, emotional resilience, and self trust under pressure.
The method began during COVID when people needed perspective the most. I was coaching people navigating uncertainty around their health, careers, relationships, and future. Different people came with completely different circumstances, yet I kept noticing the same pattern:
What changed their outcomes wasn’t simply being told what to do. It was seeing their situation from a different angle. That helped calm their nervous system and when their nervous system settled down, they started to see possibilities.
Over time, the work evolved from life coaching into performance consulting and eventually onto the soccer field.
The environment changed.
The principle didn’t.
Whether I’m sitting across from an adult navigating a major life decision or a young athlete hesitant to take initiative, I start by creating an environment where they feel comfortable enough to be honest about what’s actually happening and from there, solutions start to arise.
That matters a lot because you can’t help someone reach their full potential if you don’t take the time to reach the person underneath first.
When a player feels understood, we can uncover what he’s not seeing, challenge the underlying perspective creating hesitation, and help him arrive at a more empowering one. He starts seeing differently, feeling differently, and acting differently.
And for a parent, that’s the bigger win isn’t? Because you’re not just watching your son become a more confident soccer player. You’re watching him develop the self-trust to navigate life.
Soccer is simply the platform where he develops great character and leadership skills.
Week by week, you will see him:
• Respond with maturity to what throws him off
• Trust himself enough to step up in critical moments
• Build habits that strengthen him on and off the field
P5 method is simple:
a. Shift the perspective.
b. Transform the emotion.
c. Choose the response.
It’s not motivation. It’s helping him recognize and develop the potential that already exists.
I was the player who looked confident on the field. Present, Focused, Competitive, Capable. When the game was flowing, I knew what I could do. But when the moment got bigger, I would freeze. Not because I lacked talent but because I was afraid of making a mistake. Deep down, I carried a belief that had nothing to do with soccer: “Maybe someone like me can’t really make it that far.”
So even though I had the talent, my perspective was quietly putting a ceiling on it. I didn’t understand that then. I learned it years later while completing my MBA in Dubai. A psychology class introduced me to the connection between perspective, emotion, and results. From there, I became obsessed with understanding achievement, personal mastery, emotional regulation, and what allows people to perform at a higher level.
Here’s what I understood from inner experience and from working with people at different levels from different ethnicities, ages and backgrounds as well as watching great athletes like Cristiano Ronaldo, R9 and Leo Messi:
Your potential is not capped by what you can do today. It is capped by what you believe is possible for you.
So once I understood the power of perspective, everything changed. That realization led me to start my life coaching practice in 2019 during covid, which has since evolved into performance coaching, consulting, and athlete development.
Today, I work with entrepreneurs and young athletes because I know what it feels like to have the passion and the talent, but not yet have the perspective to fully trust yourself to take proper action when it matters.
I simply do not want a passionate and capable young player to have to figure this out as late as I did. I want to help him recognize what is actually happening inside him, learn to regulate himself, trust himself under pressure, and give his talent room to develop.
That’s the Perspective 5hift™ Method. Not changing who he is. Changing what he believes is possible for who he can become.
If that sounds like your son, let’s give him the support he needs.
